EP.FRI.668 Surgical Clinicians’ Views on the Current Admission Booklet in NHS Fife

Abstract Aim The use of an admission booklet for hospital has become a standardised practice. This survey reflects on the surgical clinicians’ views our in NHS Fife admissions. Methods An online questionnaire was sent to clinicians (Advanced Nurse Practitioners, junior doctors consultants) department via Google Questionnaire. clinician’s and VTE prophylaxis were surveyed. Data from responses collated. Results 23 took part survey, with average 18.30 months worked department. 77.3% indicated if given choice they would booklet. 63.6% prefer due familiarity, 54.3% feel laid out is good 31.8% it ease completion. Although majority prefers booklet, 59.1% indicates like be changed, general shorter more space relevant past medical history social circumstances. 68.2% assessment make influence their prescribing prophylaxis.
